Face to Face Fridays

What are Face to Face Fridays?

At the end of April 2021, we launched Face to Face Fridays.  These are an opportunity for parents and young people to talk to a SEND Advice Surrey (SENDIAS) Advisor for an hour on a Friday in term time.

Slots bookable via emailing sendadvice@surreycc.gov.uk and are at 10am and 11am. You are of course able to book a call or have a MS Teams conversation at anytime but on these Fridays there will be two Advisors available to speak.

Reasons for booking a session

  • If you are worried about your child struggling at nursery or at school
  • What to know more about the EHCP process
  • Want to talk about mediation
  • Want to talk about how to appeal a decision by the LA

Basically, it could be anything about special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and education.

Talks at events

These Friday sessions can also be used for Schools or organisations like NAS, YMCA or Action for Carers, to invite us along to talk to parents. We can attend your presentations, new parents mornings or coffee mornings for example, and we could come along and tell them about how we could advise and support them and can also answer any questions.

How to book

To book a slot or to book us to attend one of your events please email sendadvice@surreycc.gov.uk  Slots are a maximum of an hour long at 10am or 11am or we could attend an event between 10am and 12pm (we can be flexible with this time).
