Qwell’s counsellors are fully qualified and available from 12 noon to 10pm Monday to Friday and 6pm to 10pm at weekends, 365 days a year. Users can access sessions with counsellors via a drop-in service or through pre-booked sessions.
You can also access self-help tools, including online journals, goal trackers and discussion boards.

Surrey County Council have commissioned Qwell as part of their ongoing commitment to supporting parents/carers and their families. The decision to commission Qwell was made jointly with Family Voice Surrey and acknowledges the challenges parents/carers may face and the impact this can have on emotional wellbeing.

Benedicte Symcox Operations Lead at Family Voice Surrey stated the following:
“Family Voice Surrey are thrilled to be asked to endorse the commissioning of Qwell, a free online counselling service that will be specifically aimed at parent carers of children and young people with SEND in Surrey.
As parent carers ourselves, we know that this dual role can take its toll and our journey as parents is often more complicated than we had envisaged. In response to the sudden and extreme change to our lives that school closures and lockdown have provoked, we were very pleased that SCC recognised that some families might benefit from additional support that a confidential counselling service can provide.
We look forward to hearing from parent carers of their experience with Qwell!”
Parent/Carers in Surrey can access Qwell through their website.
